OnCall Mobile Labs

Terms and Conditions

Important service terms for mobile blood draws, specimen collection, scheduling, payments, lab order handling, and patient communication.

Service Overview

OnCall Mobile Labs provides mobile phlebotomy, at-home blood draws, specimen collection support, facility service coordination, DNA specimen collection, and related mobile lab services for patients, providers, facilities, and care teams.

Our role is to collect or coordinate specimens according to the applicable order, appointment details, and service requirements. We do not replace your healthcare provider, testing laboratory, employer program, study sponsor, or ordering clinician.

Scheduling & Availability

Appointments are subject to availability, route capacity, location, timing, service type, lab order readiness, and specimen handling requirements. Same-day appointments, evenings, and weekends may be available when scheduling and routing allow, but they are not guaranteed.

Lab Orders & Required Information

For blood draws and most clinical specimen collections, a valid order from a healthcare provider is required before collection. You may upload your lab order securely or have your provider send it directly.

Appointments may need to be rescheduled if an order is missing, incomplete, illegible, expired, inconsistent with lab requirements, or does not include enough information to safely coordinate the collection.

Payment Terms

The standard mobile visit fee listed on this website is $120 per visit unless a different quote, partnership agreement, urgent service fee, distance-based fee, after-hours fee, or specialized service rate applies.

Insurance & Lab Billing

OnCall Mobile Labs charges a mobile visit or service fee for the convenience of at-location collection and coordination. This fee is separate from laboratory testing fees, provider fees, insurance claims, and any charges from third-party labs.

Insurance coverage for lab testing depends on your plan, provider order, selected laboratory, and billing arrangement. We cannot guarantee insurance coverage, reimbursement, test pricing, or lab billing outcomes.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Because mobile appointments require routing, preparation, supplies, and travel time, cancellation, rescheduling, urgent dispatch, or travel-related fees may apply depending on timing and circumstances.

If a patient is unavailable, not prepared for the ordered test, refuses the collection, lacks required paperwork, or the location cannot be accessed, the appointment may be treated as a missed visit.

Service Area & Travel

OnCall Mobile Labs serves Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC, with availability varying by location, route capacity, and service type. Some appointments may require distance-based fees, special coordination, or alternate scheduling windows.

Facility visits, assisted living services, concierge physician support, clinical trial collections, employer services, and DNA specimen collections may be quoted or coordinated separately based on operational needs.

Specimen Handling & Lab Coordination

We coordinate specimen handling based on the provider order, lab instructions, appointment type, and applicable collection requirements. Delivery, processing, resulting, billing, and interpretation are generally handled by the laboratory, provider, study sponsor, employer program, or ordering organization.

Results are typically sent directly to the ordering provider or designated organization according to the lab order and lab process. OnCall Mobile Labs does not diagnose conditions or interpret laboratory results.

Privacy & Secure Communication

We use HIPAA-compliant workflows and privacy-minded coordination for patient information, uploaded orders, appointment details, and service communication. Please use approved secure upload and communication channels whenever sensitive health information is involved.

By requesting service, you authorize us to use the information needed to schedule, coordinate, perform, document, and follow up on the requested mobile collection service.

Patient Readiness & Safety

Patients are responsible for following provider instructions, including fasting, hydration, medication guidance, timing requirements, and any special preparation listed on the lab order. Tell us before the visit if the patient has a history of fainting, difficult draws, bleeding concerns, mobility limitations, or special access needs.

If our team determines that a collection cannot be completed safely or appropriately at the scheduled location, the visit may be paused, declined, or rescheduled.
