OnCall Mobile Labs
Privacy Policy
How we handle patient information, secure uploads, appointment communication, mobile collection coordination, and privacy-minded healthcare operations.
Information We Collect
OnCall Mobile Labs may collect information needed to schedule, coordinate, and provide mobile phlebotomy, at-home blood draws, specimen collection, facility services, DNA specimen collection, employer services, and related mobile lab support.
- Contact details such as name, phone number, email address, and preferred communication method.
- Appointment details such as service address, city, requested date, timing needs, facility access notes, and caregiver or provider contact information.
- Uploaded or provider-sent documents such as lab orders, requisitions, collection instructions, and information required to coordinate the visit.
- Service details such as collection type, route needs, patient readiness notes, and follow-up communication related to the appointment.
How We Use Information
We use information to confirm eligibility for service, schedule appointments, coordinate mobile visits, prepare supplies, communicate with patients or care teams, support secure order handling, and complete requested specimen collection services.
Because same-day appointments, evening appointments, weekend appointments, and urgent requests depend on route capacity and lab order readiness, we may use appointment and location details to determine availability and provide realistic timing.
Lab Orders & Health Information
For blood draws and most clinical specimen collections, a valid order from a healthcare provider is required before collection. Lab orders may include protected health information, requested tests, ordering provider information, patient identifiers, and specimen handling instructions.
We use this information only as needed to coordinate the collection, prepare the visit, support proper specimen handling, and communicate with the appropriate provider, laboratory, facility, study team, employer program, or ordering organization.
HIPAA-Compliant Workflows
We use HIPAA-compliant workflows and privacy-minded procedures for lab orders, uploaded documents, patient communication, appointment coordination, and service records. Access to sensitive information is limited to personnel and service partners who need it for scheduling, collection, coordination, payment, or operational support.
This policy explains OnCall Mobile Labs privacy practices for our website and services. It does not replace any separate Notice of Privacy Practices provided by your healthcare provider, laboratory, employer program, study sponsor, or insurance plan.
Secure Uploads & Communication
Lab orders and related documents should be submitted through approved upload or communication channels whenever possible. Please avoid sending sensitive health information through unsecured methods if a secure option is available.
- Use the secure upload path when sending lab orders before a visit.
- Provide complete and accurate information so our team can confirm the appointment and collection requirements.
- Contact us directly if you are unsure whether a document is needed before booking.
When We Share Information
We may share information only as needed to provide, coordinate, document, support, or follow up on requested services. This may include communication with ordering providers, laboratories, facility staff, caregivers authorized by the patient, clinical trial teams, employer programs, payment processors, technology vendors, or other service partners involved in the requested appointment.
We do not sell patient health information. We do not use lab orders or sensitive patient information for unrelated marketing.
Payments & Booking Information
Payment is required before a booking is confirmed. We accept major credit and debit cards as well as HSA/FSA accounts. We do not accept cash.
Payment information may be handled by a third-party payment processor. OnCall Mobile Labs does not need to store full card numbers to coordinate your mobile visit. Lab testing fees may be billed separately by your lab provider, testing organization, employer program, study sponsor, or ordering party.
Service Area & Scheduling Details
We serve Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. Appointment availability may vary by city, route capacity, timing, service type, distance, traffic, weather, facility access, lab order readiness, and specimen handling requirements.
We may use service location details to plan routing, evaluate same-day availability, estimate travel needs, coordinate facility access, and communicate realistic appointment windows.
Data Security & Retention
We use administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect patient information and service records. No website, upload process, email system, or electronic communication method can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free, but we work to reduce unnecessary exposure and limit access to sensitive information.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, support documentation, meet legal or operational requirements, respond to questions, resolve disputes, maintain business records, and comply with applicable obligations.
Your Choices & Responsibilities
You may contact us to update appointment information, correct contact details, ask questions about uploaded documents, or request guidance about what is needed before a visit. Please do not submit information for another person unless you are authorized to help coordinate their care or service.
Patients and authorized representatives are responsible for providing accurate contact, location, lab order, preparation, and access information so the mobile visit can be coordinated safely and efficiently.
